Six business units of Siemens such as Automation & Drives (A&D), Medical Solutions (MED), Power Generation (PG), Power Transmission & Distribution (PTD), Siemens Building Technologies (SBT), and Transportation Systems (TS) have all won substantial market share and customers’ recognition in their perspective fields, however external understanding about (1) what brand Siemens really stands for, (2) what Siemens business scope covers, and (3) what business benefit Siemens can bring about to customers via the provided products, systems, services, and solutions is insufficient and incomprehensive. The problems can be further reviewed in two given scenarios. First, Siemens is now targeting at business people unlike consumer products which tend to target at the general public. Second, business people in certain fields (i.e. doctors) may be familiar with the corresponding business unit of Siemens (i.e. MED). However, the same people may have no ideas that Siemens also has presence in fields like other 5 units. Please come up with a proposal with the objectives to cope with the mentioned problems and scenarios.
